What's new in RoughSay
Every beta build, newest first. RoughSay checks for updates automatically; you can also grab the latest build from the download page.
0.3.0 (build 29)
30 July 2026
- New setups now paste automatically in chat, documents, and coding tools while keeping email in Preview.
- Preview text is directly editable, with one-step undo after AI refinements and regeneration.
- Setup is shorter and shows the difference between what RoughSay heard and what it wrote.
- A calmer menu, branded recording HUD, and direct feedback shortcut keep everyday use focused.
0.3.0 (build 28)

- Setup permission buttons no longer truncate in longer languages.
- Beta signups are now confirmed only after they are safely stored, with fairer rate limiting.
- Custom AI model overrides that are no longer valid reset themselves automatically.

30 July 2026
- See your words appear live in the recording HUD while you speak (cloud mode).
- RoughSay now updates itself — check the menu bar for "Check for Updates…".

- Rewrite, Translate, Save to Notes, and Attach Files now live in the menu bar too.
- Errors that need a settings change stay on screen with a button instead of vanishing.
